Don't sweat it so much. Most people qualified to be teachers of a certain subject are not necessary qualified to teach. Nor do they want to. Specially college classes. The real secret you gotta learn is how to learn by yourself and use the teacher as a guide.

Failed thermofluid so hard, I thought it was the subject I hated the most. Then comes next semester, another professor teach it, teaching it from the basic, going from A to Z, and I was like "wtf, this subject is actually pretty interesting?" I got a B+, but that's only because the prof didn't have enough time to teach the last 2 chapters since he took a bit of time explaining the basics to us. Man, we need more teacher like that, the type who really understand the subjects and teach us all like we're idiots and not say shit like "well, your professor should have explained in the previous course so you should have understood how to solve this part". Dude, you're the only one teaching the previous course, and no one understand shit about it.

I got a teacher like that we had a WWII subject about concentration camp and the wehrmacht. I said that the wehrmacht was just people that was enrolled (by force or not) into the army & most of them didn't know about concentration camps. Guess who got a shitty grade for defending "nazis" lmao.

My wife is a teacher and they just get put into subjects. Put her in English great teacher. Put her in math and your kid is failing.

Have you been tested for ADHD? Serious question... as someone who has been diagnosed with it your "symptoms" might be explained by it. I was very interested in learning and sailed through school until late HS and college. Even though topics still interested me it was hard to focus on the higher work loads and more effort required for the higher levels of learning. It's also entirely possible that it was just a crappy teacher, but just check into it. I wasn't diagnosed until I was an adult and I just wonder how my school years might have been different if I'd had the appropriate medical help earlier in life.

My dad is the smartest man I know and he told me a story about a classmate of his that was much smarter than my father who dropped engineering because of a bad teacher. Sometimes it just happens.

I member 6 years ago same shit in colleges. Had to drop that course and do it somewhere else 20-30% grade different.
