Rocketa..... Awesomeness
So I must say I was a little dissapointed at first with the drive. It seemed capped at 380~440MB/s on the blue usb ports And when I pluged it into a usb c port even worse! 24MB/s Then I pluged it into a Red usb port.... Red 3.1 blue 3.0 .... Duh dummy haha ahhhhhhh...... Yea Red port 980MB/s it's a rocket for sure. Heck it transferred so fast it locked up my raid 0 ssd drives (the intel raid controller has always been finicky on my z170 ) Now as for why the usb c ports operate at usb 2.0 speeds..... Not a clue probably deivers, but with the red ports I really don't care. Bottom line this drive rocks! 1tb @~1GB/s will buy again!

Fastest Extrenal Hard Drive I ever had
The steel case feel amazing. Got the 1 Tb version and It really stands out from my previous external hard drives. Very silent and fast at the same time. Never going back to magnetic storage again!

Solid, fast external drive
Build quality feels solid. The cable is USB-C to C has a USB-C to A adapter on the end, which is a nice touch if you plan on using it with full size USB ports. I swapped it out for a shorter C-C to save space and that works fine too. Speed is on par for what I expected out of an NVME drive over USB 3.1. If you’re looking for a small external drive that’s pretty much as fast as USB can handle, this is it.

Good, fast, cheap(/reasonable) — All three!
Works great. I haven’t run a test to get exact throughput numbers, but it seems real fast, and the price was great!

LOVE IT! Small size, but big, fast storage!
This SSD is small, but powerful! I am so pleased with it. From my pictures, you can see the size difference between my 10+ year old 500 GB drive...and this small little Sabrent. It’s HALF the size of just the BASE of my old one!! And, transfer speeds are so quick! There was no lag time when searching, transferring, or opening files. I also appreciate the included USB-C adapter. I can use the regular type-A side to remove files from my old device...and use the type-C to transfer to my new device! The adapter is conviently attached to the USB cable so it doesn’t get misplaced or lost. The Sabrent comes packaged very neatly in a padded metal case that can be used to store the drive if desired. I LOVE IT and am so happy to replace my slow and bulky drive!

Looks good on my desk
I use this for USB 3.0 time machine backups and it is very very fast. Nicely made. Looks good on my desk.

Excellent drive and enclosure!
I use this product to backup my photos, videos, and as a time machine backup for my Mac. I like how small the drive is and how fast it can perform the transfer. I also like how sleek and refined the enclosure is as well as its ability to keep heat to a minimum. The SSD in here is a TLC NAND PCIe X4 NVME drive so it is not as durable as MLC NAND NVME drives out there but those MLC drives are significantly more expensive than this one. This does come with the newer phason 12 controller so it is pretty new. Several other manufacturers have a similar drive with the same controller, TLC NAND, and drive sizes. So the choice comes down to reputation and price. This drive and enclosure was pretty close to being the cheapest and (in my opinion) one of the most reputable. Using the included usb c cable i was able to get 1400 write and 2300 read. Much better than my USB 3.0 drives. Information transfer is super fast!

Blazing fast speeds and 2TB of storage in a small light package.
I have a Microsoft Surface Book 2 which has a USB 3.1 type C port. It also has a microscopic internal 1TB SSD which literally cannot be upgraded without cutting holes in the shell of the laptop. Unfortunately, it only took about 6 months to fill the hard drive completely. So, I tried to find the fastest external SSD that I could find to connect to that USB C port. While looking at external SSDs, I saw this M.2 NVMe external drive by Sabrent. I had never seen an external NVMe drive before, but I knew that the internal NVME M.2 2TB Samsung 970 Pro in my desktop PC was noticeably faster than the internal SATA 6/Gbs Samsung 860 Pro SSD which was also installed in my desktop. Even better, this external drive from Sabrent was smaller and lighter than a 2.5 inch SSD. I had good luck with other Sabrent devices in the past, so I ordered one of these drives. I've included photos of the packaging. It even included a very useful, oversized aluminum carrying case. SSDs are normally pretty stable when moving through security scanners and many are encased in aluminum already, which is great shielding. Still, I thought this extra aluminum container should remove any chance of damage to the NAND chips or controller in the drive. Definitely a plus for travelers. The weight and size are other pro-travel features. But the speed is the real draw for this hard drive. If you have the hardware to push a lot of data through the cable to this drive, it is incredibly fast. Copying from my internal NVMe drive to this external NVMe through a type A USB 3.1 (the aquamarine colored port, instead of blue) connector on my desktop was peaking at nearly 500MBs through a USB C to USB A converter cable. The average speed mostly stayed around 430MBs. This is easily the fastest drive I've ever owned in nearly 4 decades of working with computers. Huge file transfers are crazy fast. It's great to watch the initial estimated time for a huge file copy in Windows 10 Pro start out really high, then steadily drop until it is about 5% of the original estimate. Usually, it finishes even sooner than that. Moving files back and forth between it and the primary drive is trivial with no consideration for how long it might take. My laptop doesn't quite reach the transfer speeds of my desktop PC, despite being connected through a USB C port. However, it is still faster than anything else I've tried. The difference is most likely because my desktop is an i7 with 8 cores and 64GB of RAM while my Surface Book 2 is i7 4 cores with 16GB of RAM. Also, the internal Samsung NVMe in the laptop is probably slower than the 970 Pro NVMe drive in my desktop. In a nutshell, I love this drive. In fact, since my initial purchase, I've purchased two more. All work perfectly. All are a joy to use and have become a big part of my usage habits. I highly recommend this drive to anyone looking for a higher-speed alternative to a regular 2.5 inch external SSD.

Much faster than jump drives. Has USB 3.0 and USB C connector.
I move folder structures, several layers deep with files and subfolders to jump drives all the time. Most are around a gigabyte in size. Takes a while on USB 3.0 (and forget it on USB2.0) so often I don't bother, I just shut down PC and rely on luck that I won't lose it. This Rocket Pro is very fast (sorry don't have technical spec's but much faster than my 3.0 jump drives). The rocket is bigger than jump drives, but so fast, that now I will always have time to copy my files just before shutdown laptop and leaving. Sacrificing larger device for the incredible speed is worth it for my situation. Running video from Rocket while copying files to rocket simultaneously, no problems. I bought 512 GB, should have bought the larger size.

Just what I needed for my Xbox
I got this SSD knowing I would use it mostly for my Xbox One X. I moved my favorite games over to this SSD and it chips off 45 seconds to 2 minutes off of loading times for games. This SSD might be overkill for such an issue but loading games after years of playing will add up. I also figured this SSD would future proof me for a while. I love that it has a USB-C connection as well. This SSD is also very small! It's amazing! Plus, this product is cheaper than if you bought the storage and enclosure separately. Although, I don't think this product is swappable. I definitely recommend this product!
