No Matter Where You Are You Can Fill A Bucket...
I am a huge fan of Bucket Filling after finding and reading
Loved the Bucket books, but not a fan of this one
I am a school counselor and I use the "Fill My Bucket" books with students in grades K-5. The other books explain the bucket philosophy and give instructions, ideas, and situations of when to use this method. "Will You Fill My Bucket" is just a poem that has one line on each page. The poem is cute and the pictures are lovely, but it takes about 2 minutes to read, and would only work for very young children. If you are using this to round out your Bucket collection, it may serve its purpose...but it's not what I was expecting. I hoped it would be a multicultural approach to acts of kindness, but the only thing that showed multiculturalism was the pictures.
Gorgeous illustrations and sweet, meaningful story!
I cannot praise the illustrations in this book enough! The illustrations beautifully represent a wide variety of cultures around the world and the attention to detail and color is magnificent. The story is sweet and heart-warming and is sure to leave child and parent feeling like their bucket is full of love and warmth.
Cute for about age 2 and a half to 3 and a half
Very sweet book, but my grand daugher is 2 and not super-verbal yet. This book would appeal to a fairly intuitive and emotionally intelligent 2 and a half year-old with good verbal skills. The info in the book is super important for kids, so I am glad I got it. I also got other "bucket-filling" books and a journal to use with my grandkids.

Great for teaching kids about kindness
My pre-K kid read this at school and brought home the idea. We liked it so much we ordered the book. It's a useful framework to discuss behavior. When my kid is having a rough moment we'll often say "Is your bucket empty?" or if he's not being kind to another child we say "Are you being a bucket filler?" It's an easy concept that kids quickly grasp. He likes the illustrations and has memorized the simple prose.

Was hoping for more mulch-cultural information, not just pictures. Love the bucket filling books. This one could just be expanded with more info regarding various customs.
